Christmas 2011

As the kids get older, I realize how much I would like to start Christmas traditions with them. We didn't really have them growing up in my family so this is something I would really like to pass on to them. My hope is that their childhood memories of the holiday season will be filled with more than just getting new toys.



Both Jake and Emma got advent calendars this year - Jake's was a Star Wars themed lego one which had him put together a different lego figure every day of December. Needless to say, it was a big hit. Emma's was an arts & craft christmas calendar which she equally loved as much.

The holiday season always begins with a trip out to the Christmas tree lot to find the perfect tree.

We also attempted to bake christmas cookies this year...the cookies turned out pretty well...they just had A LOT of sprinkles on them.

During a sleepover with cousins Elise and Sean, the kids decorated gingerbread men.
