Crawling...Almost

As much as Mom and Dad enjoy Jake's lack of mobility, we figure sooner or later he should learn to crawl...so we've been trying to give him as much tummy time as possible and entice him with toys that are just beyond his reach. He usually ends up rolling back and forth towards the toy or more often than not, just flips himself back onto his back until something new catches his interest and we start the cycle all over again.

Cheerios Anyone?

Now that Jake has been eating solids for a few months now, we thought we would introduce him to his first finger food. We gave him his first Cheerios to begin the process of helping him learn to feed himself. So far, he doesn't seem to show a strong preference of liking them or not...nor does he seem all that interested in feeding himself. But it is still fun to watch him try to pick them up with his pudgy little hands...

A Day at the Zoo

On a slightly chilly day, we bundled Jake up and took him to the SF Zoo. We're not sure which animals were Jake's favorites, but Mom liked the giraffes!

Chillin' with the penguins....
and with Dad.

Happy Chinese New Year

It's the Year of Pig this year...and Jake enjoys his first experience of a Chinese New Year tradition where children receive red envelopes with money from relatives. The red envelope symbolizes good luck and prosperity for the upcoming new year.

All Play and No Work

Taking a break from his play to visit with Auntie Heidi.

To be young again...where your days are filled with all play and no work (although Jake might disagree and that he is working hard - learning and playing all day long!)
