Emma Turns 3
Our little girl turned 3 in July! We cannot get over the change in her over the past year. While her passionate spirit, strong-willed and sweet nature has not changed, she is so much more expressive, inquisitive and slowly becoming more confident. It still takes her a while to warm up to new situations but once she is in her comfort zone, she can be totally unstoppable! She is thriving in her second year at preschool, learning to swim and joined a soccer class. Also, quite the girlie girl, she loves her dolls, playing dress up and is a budding fashionista as she often likes to pick out her own clothes, much to the dismay of Mom who would prefer to have a life size doll to dress up anyway she wants. So here's to another year having gone by way too fast...and to our much loved little girl who captured our hearts from day one and has never let it go.
Happy Birthday to our darling daughter...

Jake Turns 6
Our little guy turned 6 and graduated from Kindergarten all in the same month! His year was filled with so many new experiences - Kindergarten, AYSO, Little League and in between all his activities he continues to take swimming lessons. His interests over the years has very much remained the same - sports, reading, any kind of game - whether board games, card games, or video games. And he still amazes us each and every day with how he has not lost his kind, gentle and sweet nature. His role as the big brother is so natural to him, he requires very little prodding to take care of his little sister. We are so proud of the little man he is turning into.
Happy Birthday to our first love....
With Jake and Emma's birthdays so close together, we hosted a combined family birthday celebration.

Our Little Leaguer
We signed Jake up for Little League for this first time this year and to say he loves it is an understatement! We were lucky to be on a great team this year with many of his friends from school so it was a great first experience for him. He can't wait for sprng to come so he can play again!

Snow Trip
After a much too long hiatus (last time we were in Tahoe, Jake was 9 months old!), we finally made the trip back up to the snow. We started off easy and just spent a couple of days sledding and snow play with their cousins. Jake loved sledding and kept wanting to go faster. Emma was quite content (as she usually is) to be a spectator although once she got the hang of making snowballs, she couldn't stop!
