Halloween 2008
Although we are not sure Jake completely understood the concept of Halloween, he seemed to get a kick out of going door to door and picking out his own candy. And we also figured this could be the last year we get to choose his costume....so for what could possibly be the last year, we choose cute and cuddly before the era of Spiderman, Batman and Thomas the Train descends upon us.
Halloween usually begins with the search for the perfect pumpkin. So we headed to a pumpkin patch farm in Half Moon Bay in hopes of finding the not-too-round, not-too-oval pumpkin.
Although he is all smiles in these photos, it was quite a challenge to get him into the shark costume. He initially did not like the costume at all and refused to wear it. There were moments when we thought we wouldn't be able to get him into it and he would have to spend Halloween dressed as "a boy named Jake".
With his usual Halloween companion....Sam the Spider.
Mom with Annika aka the Bumblebee before she got too tuckered out....
Stopping off for a quick treat....Elise the Ballerina practices her own scary face with Jake.
Definitely exchausted from a long evening....
But not too tired to enjoy his first ever lollipop, a little reward for being such a trooper the whole night.
