San Diego 2009...Again

As the reality of having two kids settled in more and more, we realized our vacation spots were becoming even more limited...since we now had to juggle two kids and the thought of a 5 hour plane ride to anywhere was a bit too daunting. So for our first family of four vacation, we played it safe and ventured down to San Diego...again. The quick 1 hr 15 minute flight was extremely appealing since we had no idea what to expect from Emma on the plane ride. But she was her usual easygoing self and the plane was ride was a breeze.


A trip to San Diego is not complete without a day at Legoland.

Even though this was our 3rd time to San Diego, this was our frist trip to the famous San Diego Zoo.

Trick-or-Treat 2009

I knew last year would the last time I would probably get to pick Jake's Halloween costume all on my own, without Jake's input. I knew I would soon lose out to action figures, superheroes and monsters...so this year's honor went to Buzz Lightyear. And since Emma would be spending most of the night in the Baby Bjorn, we kept her festive but costume-free. We continued our Halloween tradition and went out trick or treating with our friends Carman, Todd and Annika the Ladybug. Both Jake and Annika got the hang of trick or treating very quickly and by the 4th or 5th house, they were off on their own!
