Trick or Treat 2010

I asked Jake what he wanted to be for Halloween and without hesitation he answered "Iron Man!". So with that we begin the superhero era for Halloween costumes....

Jake at his preschool's Halloween parade. I was standing next to another parent of a child in Jake's class and he commented to me "Preschool halloween parade...it doesn't get any cuter than this". I couldn't agree more...the smiles and pride from those little faces as they paraded around in the playground showing off their costumes was one of those absolutely and undeniably heart-tugging moments you wish would never end.

A pumpkin patch field trip with his school...feeding goats, a hayride and taking silly pictures

Our own family field trip to a local pumpkin patch with Mom's goddaughter Annika.

And finally the main event! Halloween night started off with a visit from Buzz Lightyear, Little Miss Strawberry and Miss Ladybug (aka cousins Sean, Elise and Ava).

Emma's debut in her first Halloween costume...Miss Butterfly.

In keeping with our Halloween tradition, we went trick-or-treating with our friends Carman, Todd and Little Miss Strawberry, Annika. What a difference a year makes...these two needed absolutely no prompting to go door to door to get into the spirit of things.
