Happy 2nd Birthday

To say the first year went fast is an understatement...but the second seemed to go by even faster. Jake's second birthday kind of sneaked up on us and before we knew it we were helping him blow out his second birthday candle. We had a small family get together to celebrate the special day. What a difference a year makes...at two, he is an extremely sweet, chatty, inquisitive, funny, and energetic little boy. There is nothing around him that doesn't catch his interest and is constantly asking about things around him - "What's that?" or "What happened"? He is learning words and phrases in English, Vietnamese and Cantonese and while he speaks mostly English, he can understand all three and is spoken to primarly in Vietnamese and Cantonese when he is with his grandparents. He can also be a little timid and shy when exposed to new things...he'll often stand back and watch what is going on and is a little slow to warm up to new things. Here are a few fun facts:

Favorite Color: Green

Favorite TV show: Backardardigans (to be fair, it's the only one we let him watch)

Favorite Food: Fruit - any kind but his current favorites are peaches, mango and cantaloupe.

Favorite Toy: His trains and any kind of ball!

Least Favorite Activity: Eating (other than fruit)

Favorite Phrase: "I do it!"
